Title: How to Cheat a Dragon’s Curse (How to Train Your Dragon, Book 4)
Author: Cressida Cowell
Format: Audible Audio Book
Listening Length: 3 hours and 19 minutes
Narrator: David Tennant
Favorite Scene: I really enjoyed the burglary of the potato. That was great! Oh and I also liked the festival with the frozen matching ice blocks with hidden useful and useless items. That cracked me up.
Lessons to be Learned: Saving someone if you can is always worthwhile and can lead to unexpected friendships. Mean behavior doesn’t always indicate a mean dragon/person. Sometimes you have to save yourself. Friends worth having are those who got your back and don’t wish you harm.
What I didn’t like: The focus on sickness and its symptoms. Couldn’t the curse have been something else? I didn’t need David fake sneezing or coughing in my ear either.
Narrator Review: David Tennant is a great narrator. He’s fun and lively and brings a lot of depth. Four books in over a few days and I feel that some of his dragon voices are overly similar, but maybe I feel this way because it’s the same dragon (the Venomous Vorpent dragon was in the last book and this book.)
