Title: Found (Magic Thief, Book 3)
Author: Sarah Prineas
Page Count: 384 pages
Grade Reading Level: Ages 10+
Summary: Exiled and imprisoned, Conn must find a way out of the palace’s dungeons and find himself another locus magicalicus. He’s got to help the city of Wellmet’s magic before the evil Arhionvar magic arrives. With help from Nevery Flinglas, his mentor, the two create an explosive spell to help Conn find it – but when it cuts a path literally through the city of Wellmet and out into the neighboring woods, his exile becomes a death sentence. Still, Conn can’t let that worry him yet because he must travel far away from the city in order to help it and the time it’s going to take to find it is going to cut it close.
Why I started this book:
I wanted to read this book because I liked the first two books in this trilogy.
- A dragon, believed to be extinct, sweeps Conn up and away to discover the truth about magic and help him get his locus magicalicus and the following dragon lair sequence and how every hint about the trilogy’s world building comes together!
- I like how Conn is never discouraged by those in his life who don’t believe his theories of magic or think that he’s capable of doing what needs doing. Conn knows himself and knows the truth and is unwilling to be set aside even if it upsets the adults.
- How Conn saves the city of Wellmet’s magic and what happens to the Arhionvar magic.
- The trilogy is over! Sad face. 🙁
